dc.description.abstract | Recently in Indonesia, resource governance plays an important role regarding women's movement issues. Members of the movement express themselves in diverse ways. However, not all efforts made for this have been successful. Thus, it is important to create a guide for dealing with problems of resource governance, focusing on environmental justice. The growth of these women's movements also shows that women's voices at the local level should be increasingly considered as a source of knowledge. Therefore, this article attempts to describe the project initiated by ASEAN Study Centre (ASC) for capturing the women's experiences in sustaining nature, so that it may be used as a reference for designing training instruments for environmental justice. I chose three project locations for this study: Tumbak, Molo, and Rembang because these places represent sites of women's activism in Indonesia. In addition, the consistent role performed by women in these areas regarding the environmental justice issue has potential use for lessons that may be learned in developing training instruments. © 2016 Asian Center for Women's Studies, Ewha Womans University. | |
