| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization and the base of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja) that is centered on the values of tawasuth (moderate), tasamuh (tolerant), tawazun (proportional) and itidal (fair), proved to be able to bring NU as one of the power of civil society in Indonesia. Now, NU is expected to be active in giving response for the environment dynamics in the form of information from transnational Islamic groups, which is bring principles and the values that is contrast to the aqidah, amaliah, and NU traditions. The information that has a potential to threaten the NU organization, also the diversity in Indonesia. This thesis is based on the case study that investigate hows the response of NU, especially Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) or the Board Branch of Nu in Jember periode of 2009-2014 in facing the flow of information that can be classified as an uncertain, hard to understand, not clear, and ambiguous information (equivocality) from transnational Islamic group. Hows PCNU Jember accepted the information, processing the information, organize themselves, for giving a response or it called as a organization action suitable to the Organization Information theory that triggered by Karl Weick.
