dc.description.abstractABSTRACT This study discusses about the reproduction of social classes that take place in SMK Negeri 1 Obaa, Mappi, Papua. This school is the government-owned schools managed by the Government of Mappi. The students who attend this school are generally derived from Mappi tribal society which is the local indigenous people. The students have different background in family circumstances there is derived from the class of upper, middle and low classes. The Social class difference have an impact on the gap among the students. It becomes interesting for researchers to study the process of reproduction of social classes that happening in this school.
