dc.description.abstractAbstract This thesis was aimed to analyze Indonesian government effort in building Indonesian cultural heritage as a nation brand. This research explained about the process of Indonesian government in building nation brand by utilizing Batik as a Nation Brand. The utilization of Batik as a nation brand was hoped to create nation brand and identity which was declared as world class non-physical cultural heritage by UNESCO and also international society. There are four steps in developing nation brand (training, identification, implementation, and evaluation). Indonesia applied those stepping processes which made Batik as a Indonesian brand and identity. Success of this nation brand building by Indonesian government caused increasing image of Indonesia in the International scope, increasing Indonesian pride, getting awareness from international organization, increasing of tourism promotion, and increasing peoples prosperity. Those five governmental successes could be the Indonesian advantage to utilizing Batik as a nation brand and identity. Keyword: Batik, Indonesian Nation Brand and Identity, Stepping Process
