| dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT FACTORS HINDERING THE MANAGEMENT OF GREEN OPEN SPACE IN JAMBI Writer : Ananda Putri Rohima Supervisor : Dr. Ratminto, M.Pol.Admin This research discusses the management of Green Open Space in Jambi, especially it considers which factors hindering in the management of it.Therefore, the amount of Green Open Space area in Jambi is still far from the targeted standard as well as its quality is not quite so well. This research employs a descriptive qualitative research. The research data are the primary data and the secondary data. The primary data is obtained from the interview results with the research informant. The secondary data comprises of reports and authorized documents.The techniques of collecting data involved interview, observation, and documentation. The technique of analyzing data is descriptive analysis that is used to interpret the data, the facts, and the information obtained. The research result shows that the management of green open space in Jambi has not been performed optimal. It is caused by factors hindering, which is in this research, are from aspects of institution, legislation or policy, and participation.In the aspect of institution that is viewed of legislation or policy component, it is explained that in managing Green Open Space is based on RPJMD and RTRW of Jambi, then each of SKPD makes The Strategic Plan (Renstra-SKPD). However,the lack of the legislation that protect Green Open Space causes some problems such as land conversion, illegal logging, and so on. Next, in the aspect of funding, the fund that is sourced from APBD has met the standard. But, the use of funds is less precise because it ismore focus on the repairing of facilities, and not to the improvementas well as the management Green Open Space. The participation that has not been done optimally by both public and private parties also becomes the factor hindering in the process of management of Open Public Space in Jambi.
