dc.description.abstractABSTRACT The media is seen as a means of power from the hands of the (capitalist) to disseminate the discourse forming body image. Online media much in demand by the public because the speed and easy to obtaining the information. Kompas.com has a female column where the column much discussed problem of beauty. Through Kompas.com beauty news constructing body image. Kompas.com also discussed beauty in terms of romance, parenting and career. The purpose of this study was to determine and identify the representation of column female Kompas.com column. Knowing the body representation of women and men by Kompas.com in the female column. Identify and dismantle ideological discourse body image by kompas.com. This study uses a model of critical discourse analysis approach to social change by Norman Fairclough. This research was carried out only at the micro level (text level) which rises from Kompas.com of the October to December 2014 and January to March 2015 with 128 reports.
