#ResearchToolkit: OneSearch Indonesia – Integrated Search Solution for Library Collections Across Indonesia

Yogyakarta, January 23, 2026 — To expand research reach and access to national intellectual wealth and sources of national scientific information, the Library of Gadjah Mada University encourages the use of Indonesia OneSearch, an integrated search portal developed by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas RI).

Indonesia OneSearch (or abbreviated as IOS) is a single integrated search portal for all public collections from libraries, museums, and archives across Indonesia. This portal also provides access to international electronic resources subscribed to by Perpusnas RI for all registered library members. This service allows the academic community to track and access various digital and print collections from thousands of libraries, repositories, and information institutions throughout Indonesia through a single search gateway.

Indonesia OneSearch has a multidisciplinary and segmented collection that covers various fields of study. Additionally, Indonesia OneSearch features a high-quality visual display and format to attract users to search for the collections they need. Indonesia OneSearch offers various search features tailored to the needs of the general public, including:

1. Simple Search and Advanced Search: Simple Search and Advanced Search features allow users to quickly and thoroughly search for materials across library databases in Indonesia using both general and specific keywords.
2. Location-Based Filtering: This feature facilitates tracking the availability of collections in specific areas based on sector, local institutions, and locations in Indonesia.
3. IOS Explorer: A data visualization feature or graph-based search that allows users to see the relationships between keywords, topics, authors, and institutions in the form of charts or "trees" (tree diagrams).
4. IOS CiteMiner: IOS CiteMiner (Citation Miner) is a tool for citation analysis that works by "mining" or extracting citation data from millions of documents indexed in Indonesia OneSearch.
5. IOS Reporting: A feature that provides or facilitates reports and statistics intended for managers of partner institutions to monitor the number of collections indexed in IOS and the access statistics through the IOS portal.

All academic staff and students of UGM can explore the national literature anytime and anywhere through the Remote Access E-Resources service provided by the UGM Library, both from within and outside the campus.
