Cartography of corruption in Colombia: an approach to the social, cultural and economic dimensions
Abstract
The study examines how corruption affects various dimensions in Colombia, specifically social, cultural and economic dynamics. It underscores the importance of analyzing the interrelations between corruption and democracy, ethics, human behavior, tourism, public finance and transparency. The specific objective of this study is to identify the categories that explain the factors of corruption associated with the allocation of public goods and services through a systematic review of the scientific literature. By addressing this objective, the research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the phenomenon, contributing to the existing body of knowledge both theoretically and practically. In this regard, the analysis highlights the complexity of corruption and its influence on different aspects of Colombian society, emphasizing the need for further exploration to better understand its implications and identify possible solutions. Additionally, the findings are framed within a literature review, illustrating how corruption is embedded in certain interpretative frameworks referred to as dimensions of interaction. These frameworks are constructed through a Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) process, which integrates an analytical-descriptive approach from Critical Discourse Studies and a categorization process based on Grounded Theory. Furthermore, through these dimensions of interaction, the study identifies theoretical gaps and suggests potential avenues for future research.
