Abstract
Abstract Consumers are vital for a company. It becomes one of components to define the succeed of the company. Therefore, a company has an urge to build a good relations in order to keep their consumers. In a company, this functipon is usually fulfilled by public relations. PT Telkom Indonesia is a company or a state-owned enterprise (BUMN) in the field of telecommunication in Indonesia. As a BUMN, it is obliged to provide the needs of society as well as required to contribute to the state revenue. Over the last two years, this company has launched IndiHome, a product addressed to provide the latest society needs in communication: high-speed internet, cable TV, and telephone. In order to fulfill their goal, this company performs the public relations functions in managing its customers. This research aims to see how PT Telkom Indonesia Witel Yogyakarta implements the function of public relations in managing IndiHome customers in 2016 according to Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The analysis shows that the public relations already performed most of public relations functions, however, in defining, planning, and programming, they havent fully utilized the data of their customers. One of the reasons why it happens is because those public relations units have less authority to make a decision and to deliver an advice to the management.
