ABSTRACT This research aims to find out how communication strategies used by Punk community Taringbabi as co-cultures and Srengseng Sawah society, South Jakarta, in the process of adaption between two different cultures. The method used in this research was ethnographic study that applied to the processes of communication approach taken by both culture. Based on the research results can be concluded that the communication strategy used by Taringbabi is likely to set or modifying their behavior tends to follow the values and norms of the dominant culture, without losing original identity of their culture. xii Keyword: Taringbabi Punk Community, Srengseng Sawah society, communication strategies, co-cultures.
