Masyarakat Pedesaan dan Promosi Online (Studi Evaluatif terhadap Pemanfaatan Aplikasi Web 2.0 sebagai Media Promosi oleh Masyarakat Desa Melung dan Desa Keniten, Banyumas, Jawa Tengah Periode 2013-201
Abstract
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate about utilization of Web 2.0 applications as a promotion media by Melung village community and Keniten village community, Banyumas, Central Java period 2013-2014. Evaluation uses the concept of context assessment dimensions, input, process and output of the CIPP evaluation model Stufflebeam elaborated with the concept of Web 2.0-based online promotions that are relevant to rural communities. This study uses the method of evaluation studies with a qualitative approach and focus on evaluation implementation studies and comparing program. Data collection was done by semi-structured interviews, observations, and documents. The evaluation results of this study found that there are differences between Melung village community and Keniten village community in the utilization of Web 2.0 applications as a promotion media. Based on four assessment dimensions, Keniten village community have more indicators that support the success of online promotion by using Web 2.0 applications as a medium than Melung village community. Melung village community still do not have support of promotion agencies and businesses network in their online promotion, community producers are still reluctant to use Web 2.0 applications as their promotion media, community characteristics and its products are less supportive of online promotion, their ability to promote online is still inadequate, no collaboration among village communities and no participation of the producers in online promotion, they are not sustainable in promoting products, and have not been able to reach its full potential buyers and business associates. Otherwise, instead of Melung communitys deficiencies, it has maximum at Keniten community. These differences can be factors in the difference in the online promotion results of the two villages.
