Responsivitas Gender dalam Proses Pemberdayaan Oleh Yayasan Annisa Swasti:(Studi pada Sekolah Kepemimpinan Buruh Gendong Pasar Beringharjo)
Abstract
ABSTRACT Carrying Workers is one of representation of informal sector jobs which done by women. This job just rely on physical strength and often chosen because it does not require any particular skill or education. This work arise because of the demands of the growing economy and low access of education towards the marginal community. In this context the marginal community is the women, because during this time they still suffer from discrimination to access the resources in this country. Concern on the mission in giving attention to the fate of women carrying workers, then Yasanti (Yayasan Annisa Swasti) present to fill the gap. By accommodating women carrying workers working in Beringharjo, Special Region of Yogyakarta, they are trying to re-raise the awareness of women about their rights as a woman and as a carrying worker. Therefore they emerge an activity which is called " Leadership School for Carrying Workers ". Then dawned the fundamental questions about the real implementation of this activity, about the gender responsiveness in these activities and the benefits of this activities that should be accordance with the original purpose. The Longwe Analysis Techniques used as the main guideline to answer it all. Longwe analysis technique is used to see the extent of the dimensions of empowerment that is success. Compliance toward the dimensions of well-being, access, critical awareness, participation and control, used to see the gender responsiveness in a program or activity The findings ultimately obtained. Leadership School for carrying workers have been gender responsive by providing compliance towards the dimensions of access, critical awareness and participation. Although it has a gender responsiveness, but not a guarantee that these activities will be able to provide benefits in accordance with the original purpose. This activity should be able to provide benefits by increasing the dimensions of well-being and control for women carrying workers.
