Pemenuhan Hak Pendidikan Narapidana Anak: (Studi kasus Lapas Klas II A Samarinda)
Abstract
ABSTRACT This research aims to determine the cause of the children that get into prison as their sentence and became a prisoner. This research also analyzed the construction of children about the rights of education received during their prison terms. Prison, known as correctional institutions is one of the institutions for the public condemnation of perpetrators of offenders. Penitentiary dwellers will be known as an inmate. Their violations of the law can be done by all people in society, including children. In order to support and facilitate this research, I used a new paradigm sociological theory of children, in the sociology of childhood book written by William A Corsaro. This study is a qualitative study using a case study approach. The case studies used for this study is to analyzed the children living situation who are lived in an adult prisoners environment. This study was conducted in one of the prisons in East Kalimantan, precisely Lapas Klas II A Samarinda for two months. Informants in this study that 22 inmates of children with cases of substance abuse, wanton, motorcycle theft and mugging. Informants in this study support the four officers and one teacher Packet program. Based on the research, researcher found that children in Lapas Klas II A doing kinds of delinquenc ies and committed to crimes because of the influence of peers and adult friends. There are two construction owned by the inmates of children on the rights of the education. Construction can be seen from the activities of job training, marching, education enhancement, the service of teaching and facilities received by inmates of children. For inmates of children who involved in education from elementary to junior high school feel the rights of education received has been fulfilled. While the inmates who are high school and vocational student feel that their rights are not fulfilled. Keywords: Right to Education, Inmate Son, Sociology Of Childhood.
